Debutants Mario Arques and Pablo Morgado scored one across each halfs as Jamshedpur beat Mumbai City 2-0 in their opening Indian Super League season 5 encounter at the Mumbai Football Arena on Tuesday.
The first goal was a header from Mario Arques. It was as early as the 28th minute from the debutant Spaniard. Another came on the 94th minute from Morgado, the other spaniard.

The defensive midfielder shot the ball to the back of the net with a header. It appeared to be a text book header with Carlos assist. This was the first goal of the night. Though Jamshedpur FC was missing out on their star signing- Tim Cahill, it was a good day for them in Mumbai. In the extra five minutes injury time, Morgado added a second.

The Islanders had a good start to the match. Early in the 20th minute, Tiri was shown a Yellow card. It was followed by the first corner of the night taken by Machado. Goian did connect with the kick, but the header went wide.

Mario got a yellow card soon in the second half. Mumbai attacked more the second half of the game. But missed some golden chances.The Islanders seemed to lack concentration throughout the match.

Both the teams saw quick substitutions in the thirty minutes of regulation time. While Mumbai City could be spotted on lacking in the attacking area of the pitch, Jamshedpur on the other hand was seen strong on both the sides.
