Nadal has by far been the most successful Roland Garros champion in tennis history. The great Spaniard won the French Open in his maiden attempt in 2005. He was just 19 years and 2 days old then.

Rosewall’s 1st French title came at the young age of 18 years and 209 days in 1953.

Bjorn Borg
He was the 1st rock-star of tennis. The super Swede with ice blood in his veins was equally dominant on Clay and Grass in his time. Borg won the 1st of his five titles at Roland Garros in 1974 when he was aged just 18 years 10 days.

Mats Wilander
He was another Great Swedish player with a natural Clay court game. A winner of 7 Grand Slams, Wilander had great success in Paris, where he won 3 Grand Slam titles.

Micheal Chang
The Japanese born player took the tennis world by surprise when he won his 1st and only Grand Slam at a young age of 17 years and 96 days.
Chang defeated Sweden’s Stefan Edberg in a 5 set marathon in the Final.
