This time a volley. After Mario Goetze had made a deep run into the box and forced a save off the Frankfurt goalie Kevin Trapp, Ribery latched onto the rebound and scored with a stunning volley with his right foot. It was the only goal of the day as Frankfurt kept things tight at the back in order to deny Bayern sniffs at the trophy pretty early in the season.
