A club with a rich pedigree of talent and youth, Inter Milan have had a glorious past. Their golden period lasted till 2010, when they lifted the Champions League trophy.

10. Inter Milan 2 – 0 AS Roma, 1991 UEFA Cup Final 1st Leg
Roma met Inter in the Final of the UEFA Cup (now Europa League) final over two legs.
Inter won the first leg comfortably 2-0 with goals from Matthaus and Berti to render the second leg ineffective, which they lost 1-0 at Stadio Olympico.
9. Inter Milan 2 – 0 Sampdoria, 1989 Italian Super Cup
Internazionale met Cup winners Sampdoria in the Supercoppa de Italia at the San Siro. This was more of a statement to make as AC Milan were reigning supreme in Italy and Europe at the time.
Clinical goals from Cucchi and Serena meant Inter ran out 2-0 winners to clinch their first Super Cup.
8. Inter Milan 1 – 0 Austria Salzburg, 1994 UEFA Cup Final 2nd Leg
The Nerrazzuri claimed a much deserved UEFA Cup in the 1994 season with a solid display across two legs against Austrian opposition Salzburg.
A Berti goal in Vienna in the first leg coupled with a Jonk strike in the second leg at San Siro meant Giampiero Marini’s Inter came away with a 2-0 aggregate victory.
7. AC Milan 0 – 4 Inter Milan, 2009-10 Serie A
One of the most important moments in Inter Milan history, Jose Mourinho’s Inter thrashed Ronaldinho’s AC Milan by 4 goals to nil.
Always a heated rivalry, Inter ran rings around Milan, Milito scoring twice as they announced their intentions in their treble winning season.
6. Inter Milan 1 – 0 Benfica, 1965 European Cup Final
One of the rare teams apart from Real Madrid to retain the European Cup in consecutive seasons, Inter edged past Portuguese giants Benfica in the Final of the 1965 edition to back their claims of being the best in Europe for the second year running.
The team was brimming with talent and had the likes of Facchetti and Jair in it, players who would be counted as legends in the years to come.

5. Inter Milan 3 – 1 Real Madrid, 1964 European Cup Final
A Sandro Mazzola brace on either side of a Milani goal meant Inter dumped five-time champions Real Madrid 3-1 at the Praterstadion, Vienna to win their first European Cup in 1964.
This was another Helenio Herrera masterpiece in a team that comprised the likes of Jair da Costa, Facchetti, Luis Suarez and skipper Picchi.

4. Napoli 1 – 2 Inter Milan, 1978 Coppa Italia Final
The 1978 Coppa Italia Final between Napoli and Inter turned out to be a heated one as the two clubs rekindled a rivalry that had lasted for ages.
The Naples outfit lost out 1-2 on a night when they were truly unlucky and should have won the Italian Cup.
3. Inter Milan 4 – 2 AS Roma, 2006 Coppa Italia Final 1st Leg
Roberto Mancini’s Inter outplayed a Roma team comprising of the likes of Rossi, Totti and Doni to give Inter one of their most cherished trophies in the 21st century.
Inter played fluid attacking football to show more zest and zeal in a display where they won 4-2 in the first leg and followed it up with a 3-0 victory in the second.
2. Inter Milan 3 – 0 Lazio, 1998 UEFA Cup Final
Another UEFA Cup final, this time an all-Italian affair at the Parc des Princes in Paris as Zanetti scored a screamer to lead Inter to the 1998 title.
Inter legend Ronaldo was also on the scoresheet as Inter landed a trophy despite midfielder West being sent off.

1. Inter Milan 2 – 0 Bayern Munich, 2009-10 UEFA Champions League Final
It had to be this. A brace from Diego Milito stunned German champions Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabeu as Jose Mourinho’s Inter completed their treble in prime fashion, winning the Final 2-0.
One of the best Inter teams of all times, Jose Mourinho’s wonder team had everything in it and to win the Scudetto, Italian Cup and the Champions League was a feat no Italian team has ever achieved.
