The Bhiwani sensation and WBO Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Champion Vijender Singh today met Home Minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh. The meeting where Mr. Rajnath Singh congratulated the Indian Boxer for his title win at the WBo Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Championship held recently at New Delhi and wished him all luck for his future appearances at the boxing arena.
Recently, Vijender Singh in a packed house at Thayagaraj Sports Complex, New Delhi, had defeated middleweight boxer Kerry Hope.A calm headed Singh, who has won all of his 7 bouts appeared now, had then promised his supporters that he would win the 7th bout of his professional career against Hope and said, “I will show him tomorrow how much I have been training. It will be a great fight night,” along the line of my talent will do the talking, and an opponent at the ring is to be dealt with there only.
Then, promising all his supporters of a win, Vijender had added confidently, “ this time its going to be a little difficult, but I will make it happen, I have been training very hard and I am pretty confident of my win against Hope. This could be my seventh knockout and what better way to celebrate than to play in your own country.” And he did exactly what he had promised.
