Shubman Gill
The Fazilka born right handed opening batsman, Shubman Gill, played age group cricket for his home state Punjab before making his List A debut in 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Gill was the vice captain and lead scorer for the 4th time Champions side of India at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2018. Shubman Gill was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders during IPL 2018 auctions for 1.8 Cr Indian Rupees. Gill has, since then, been part of Indian Premier League as he features among the Punjab Players in IPL 2021.
The Strokemaker has seen growth in his cricket since his IPL debut as the IPL 2020 season, the last completed season, would have him top score for his franchise with 440 runs from 14 matches. Gill has already debuted for Indian Cricket team in Test & ODI cricket.
Siddarth Kaul
The Pathankot born right arm medium pacer was a member of the 2nd time Champions side of India at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2008 and joint leading wicket taker for the team along with Jadeja. Kaul made his domestic cricket debut in 2007. Siddarth Kaul was picked by Sourav Ganguly led Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008, but would get his first IPL match in 2013, when he was playing for Delhi Daredevils.
His career defining break in Indian Premier League came in 2017 when he was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad and went on to take 16 wickets form 10 matches. Kaul, since then, has been part of the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium based side as he features the Punjab Players in IPL 2021.
Sandeep Sharma
The Patiala born right arm medium pacer was part of the Indian squad for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2010 that also had Mandeep Singh, Mayank Agarwal, Jaydev Unadkat & KL Rahul as members. Sharma started his domestic career with Punjab in 2011 and debuted in Indian Premier League in 2013 for Kings XI Punjab. Sandeep has, since then, been part of the BCCI run T20 tournament, as he features among the Punjab Players in IPL 2021.
Sharma was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad during IPL 2018 auction and has been part of this team since then. Out of the 8 completed season he has played in the Indian Premier League Cricket, Sandeep has 10+ wickets in seven; was among the top 5 wicket takers in IPL 2014.
Harbhajan Singh
The Jalandhar born off break bowler Harbhajan Singh Plaha played age group cricket for Punjab though he made his first class debut in 1997. Harbhajan had come off India’s Under-19 team of 1998 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, where he picked 8 wickets and India finished third in their Super 8 group. Singh debuted in Indian Premier League in 2008 when he was picked by Mumbai Indians. Harbhajan was among the top 5 wicket takers in IPL 2010 and 2013 seasons as he features among the Punjab Players in IPL 2021 as a member of Kolkata Knight Riders. Singh has also played for Chennai Super Kings in the T20 tournament.
Abhishek Sharma, Mandeep Singh, Prabsimran Singh, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar, Anmolpreet Singh, Manan Vohra, and Mayank Markande are other cricketers who represent Punjab Players in IPL 2021.
