Profile | Stefanos Tsitsipas is a Greek professional tennis player, who turns pro since 2016 and considered the youngest international player in the list of top 10. He already won three ATP singles in his short career graph and ranked as World’s No. 6 tennis star by the ranking of Association of Tennis Professionals. Stefanos was coached by his father Apostolos and took professional tennis training from the age of six. His mother is a former tennis player on WTA tour and his father is a professional tennis coach. Getting the idle tennis background Stefanos soon began his career at the junior level on ITF and grabbed the rank of no. 1 in the world at this meadow. His glorious career stats lead him to the field of senior shortly and he started playing internationally at the age of 18. Stefanos didn’t take much time to rank in the top 10 player list and became popular for his especially strong forehand strokes. This right-handed player plays as an aggressive baseliner and hugely praised for his all-court gaming style. He uses his favorite shot of backhand down-the-line as his biggest strength. He is popular among his fellow competitors for his on-court demeanor style. Apart from playing tennis, he loves to travel a lot and often uploads his videos on his YouTube channel to share his experience with the world. His ‘zero fear’ personality in the court has made him an idol for many future tennis players and emerging stars in this field. (as Compiled by Madhushree Das Ghosh) (Profile Image from Facebook) |
