Profile | Sheldon Cottrell is a Jamaica-born West Indian cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of West Indies since 2013. He has played for all formats of the game but, currently seen in only shorter formats of cricket in limited over matches. He represents Jamaica team at domestic level and Trinidad and Tobago squad in first-class cricket. Sheldon Cottrell is a left-arm fast-medium opening bowler and occasionally bats right-handedly as a lower-order batsman. During his domestic career days, Sheldon emerged with his eye-grabbing quality of fearsome bowling. His impactful performance in West Indies A team gave him an opportunity to enter the national squad of West Indies in 2013. His slingy bowling trick gave this muscular Jamaican bowler huge appreciation in the world cricket field. Through, Sheldon has started his international career with the test format; he soon restricted himself from that meadow within one year. Now he only plays for ODI and T20I matches in the international field. Apart from international tournaments, Sheldon also appears in some first-class and Tweenty20 tournaments. Such as Professional Cricket League for Leeward Island National Cricket Team, Global T20 Canada League for Vancouver Knights, etc. He was enlisted in the team of West Indies for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
