Profile | Kane Williamson is a New Zealand International cricketer, who plays for all three formats of the game. He has been playing for the national cricket team of New Zealand since 2010 and currently, captains the national squad as well. He is a right-handed top-order batsman of the team and occasionally bowls as a right-arm spin bowler. In domestic cricket, Kane Williamson represents Northern-Districts tea and has played for Yorkshire as well as Gloucestershire squads in county circuit. At the beginning of his career, Kane Williamson has played for a few domestic teams in age groups. He was primarily coached by Pacey Depina in his school or college days and made the records of scoring 40 centuries in his school level tournaments. He has made his debut in domestic cricket at the age of 17 with Northern Districts and played a few leagues in county cricket consecutively. It was the unique and adept batting style, especially against fast bowling, that gave Kane Williamson so much popularity in the domestic field. After playing for the Under-19 team of New Zealand and scoring some unforgettable innings, Williamson got a chance in 2010 in the national cricket team. He has made his international debut with an ODI match and progressively continued with the other formats of the game in 2010 & 2011. Not only with bats, but Kane Williamson has shown his charisma with ball as well. It is his impactful performance that makes Kane Williams not only a permanent member of the team but also, captain of the squad. He also captains the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in IPL 2019 tournament and was named for the New Zealand squad in 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
