Jonathan Marc Jonny Bairstow is an English International cricketer, who has been playing for England national cricket team since 2011. He is a wicket keeper-batsman and represents the West Yorkshire team in domestic cricket.

He was born in Bradford of West Yorkshire in 1989 and started his cricket career from school level. Jonny Bairstow is the second son of former England wicketkeeper David Bairstow and thus used to get professional training at a very young age from his father.

He began his glorious domestic career since 2008 from the second XI championship for Yorkshire team. After playing almost 16 first-class matches, and serving the team as a skilled keeper, he got a chance to be selected for the national team in 2011. It was an ODI match against India that brought Jonny Bairstow desiring recognition in international cricket.

Jonny Bairstow is a right-handed middle-order batsman and currently plays for all three formats of the game. He made his IPL debut with the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in 2019 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
