Jeevan Mendis is a Sri Lankan cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of Sri Lanka since 2010. He represents Sri Lanka internationally in shorter formats of the game in limited-over matches. Jeevan Mendis is an all-rounder, who bats left-handedly and bowls leg-break. He plays for Tamil Union in Sri Lanka for domestic circuit.

After being the best figure in Under-19 Cricket World Cup in domestic level in 2005, he came into the eyes of selectors and entered in the T20 team. His impressive bowling performance in domestic circuit gave him a clear entry in the national team of Sri Lanka. In 2010, he made his international debut through an ODI match against Zimbabwe. Jeevan Mendis made his T20I debut in the next year against England and became a permanent member of the national Sri Lankan cricket team since then. He hasn’t made his test debut so far but was named in the squad of Sri Lanka for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
