Profile

Francois (Faf) Du Plessis is a South African International cricketer, who is playing for their national team since 2011. Currently, he is the captain of the South Africa National Cricket team for all three formats. He is known as Du Plessis in the world and fondly called Faf by his team mates. The calm and composed approach of Du Plessis gave him the title of ‘Captain Cool’ and brings him even more successes in his captaincy career.

Apart from his versatile batting skills, Faf has a wonderful quality of playing brilliantly in high-pressure run-chases. Like any other Cricketer who have had a long career, Du Plessis has seen some rough patches in his cricket career for a couple of years due to his poor performances and injuries. However, he gets himself on the right track after discovering the perfect run-scoring mojo and was selected as the full-time captain of the national team across all formats.

Du Plessis brings a whole new setup to the SA national cricket team with his calm demeanor nature. He has started his IPL career in 2012 with Chennai Super Kings and currently playing for the same team in the running IPL tournament.
