Profile | Denis Shapovalov is a Canadian professional tennis player. He is another emerging superstar of future generation tennis. Shapovalov has been a junior Wimbledon champion and is now making a mark for himself in the ATP circuit. Denis had a breakthrough season in 2017 when he defeated Jaun Martin Del Potro and then World Number 2 Rafael Nadal in back to back to reach the Canadian Open semi-finals. He became the youngest player ever to reach a semi-final of a Masters 1000 tournament. In 2019, Shapovalov won his 1st ATP title when he lifted the Stockholm Open trophy. The Canadian also propelled himself in the Top 20 rankings and was able the finish the season at World Number 15. At Paris Bercy he accomplished another high by reaching his 1st Masters 1000 final.
