Profile | Darren Bravo is a West Indian International cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team of West Indies since 2009. He appears in all formats of the game and represents the Trinidad and Tobago team in domestic cricket. Darren is a top-order left-handed batsman, who occasionally bowls in right-arm fast-medium style. Darren is the younger half brother of Dwayne Bravo, who also plays for the West Indies team in international cricket. The legendary West Indian cricketer Brian Lara shares the relation of the first cousin with Darren as well. Being brought up in a cricket background, Darren took his professional lesson from an early age. He appeared in the regional cricket match for Trinidad and Tobago in 2007 and first-class tournament in the same following year. Next year, he participated in Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2008, but couldn’t make his mark expectedly. After this tournament, Darren played for Stanford Series and successfully made his mark. In 2009 he got his call for the national squad of West Indies and made his international debut successfully at the middle of the year. Soon Darren completed his debut game in rest two formats of cricket and became a permanent member of the national team progressively.
