Profile | Caroline Wozniacki is a Danish professional tennis player, who turns pro and starts playing internationally since 2005. She has been ranked as World’s No. 1 player in singles for 2010 and 2011 by the WTA ranking. Caroline is the first woman from a Scandinavian country, who has reached so far in this game and achieved top ranking among the top 10. She has coached by her father Piotr, who was a professional football player and used to coach the Danish football team professionally for a couple of years. Caroline’s mother was also connected to the sport, as she was a former volleyball player of Polish Women’s National Volleyball team. Caroline started playing tennis from a very early age and has been trained by her father as her primary coach since the age of 14. Besides her father, she was also guided by Sven Groeneveld, Richard Sanchez, and Thomas Johansson partially throughout her training seasons. She is a defensive tennis player, who can handle her opponent brilliantly with the intelligent movement agility and perfect footwork inside the court. She is also regarded for her anticipation, speed, and serves. She plays in two-handed backhand style with the down-the-line specialty. Her good look is one more noticeable excellence in this Danish player, which made her one of the top ambassadors for the top brand endorsement. Currently, she is considered the ninth-most marketable athlete in the world. |
