Profile | Angelo Mathews is an International Sri Lankan cricketer, who plays for Sri Lanka national cricket team since 2008. He has played for all three formats of the game and witnessed several glorious victories of his team in his long career graph. Angelo Mathews is an all-rounder, who bats right-handedly and bowls in right-arm fast-medium style. Apart from being a wonderful all-rounder, he captained the Sri Lankan squad for several years. He used to play for Colombo Cricket Club in first-class cricket and has appeared in the Under-19 team of Sri Lanka before entering the national squad. Angelo Mathews got his first break into the national team of Sri Lanka in 2008 and made his international debut through an ODI match. Gradually he became a reliable player of the team for all formats of cricket and accompanied the team in various prestigious tournaments internationally. He is an intelligent middle-order batsman with strong tactical nous and cool demeanor. Mathews is also a skilled and handy pace bowler with the right aptitude and probably one of the most balanced all-rounders of all time.
