Profile | Abu Jayed is an International Bangladeshi cricketer, who plays from the national side of Bangladesh since 2018. He plays for all formats of the game and represents Sylhet Division team in first-class cricket. Abu Jayed is a professional cricket, who has been playing cricket for Bangladesh in several age groups in domestic circuit. Before getting selected for the national squad, Abu Jayed has played for Under-15, Under-17 and Under-23 teams as a regular middle-order pacer. In the National Cricket League tournament 2016-2017, Abu Zayed played the best figure as a bowler with 29 dismissals. This success rewards him with the national selection in the Bangladesh cricket team in the next year 2018. He made his international debut through a T20I match against Sri Lanka, and test debut against New Zealand in the same following year. Abu Jayed made his ODI debut recently in the following month May 2019 against West Indies and played only 2 ODIs so far. However, his victorious playing tricks made him a permanent member of the national Bangladesh cricket team for all formats. Abu Jayed even made his mark wonderfully in the ODI formats within just 2 matches along with a five-wicket haul. Currently, he is part of the team of Bangladesh for 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup due to his impressive performance in last ODI match of tri-series tournament against Ireland. |
