We have never seen the two superstars of Indian badminton clashing on any of the international circuits ever, but today could be your day when Awadh Warriors representative Saina may go head to head with Chennai Smashers Sindhu. On the court of Premier Badminton League, we have seen Carolina Marin playing doubles and Ashwini Ponnappa playing singles against Marin, speculations that Saina and Sindhu might not go head to head today but who doesn’t want to see the supremacy of sports.
On one hand, Saina is recovering from her injury, struggling to back the fame and on other Sindhu is at her career high with Olympic medal and super series wins. These are the two sports icon that emerged against all odds to make it to international circuit, break the Chinese badminton wall and climb the podium every time. While Awadh Warriors are already at the top of the league table, it was only yesterday when Chennai Smashers made it to the PBL semis.
It was the relentless efforts by Saina and Srikanth that took Awadh Warriors to the top of the league table. But all eyes will be glued to today’s trump match between Saina and Sindhu. Awadh Warriors are leading comfortable on the top and they might think to give a break to Saina and Srikanth while Chennai Smashers will be playing at their best to rise from no. 3 spot to no.2. Pro Badminton League always surprised us with their experiments on court and the results.
Shouldn’t we expect the match, of course we want them to play against each other. We don’t wish to see either of them losing, both are our favorites but yes we all wish to cheer loud for them and bite our nails till the last shot played. All I wish is today’s match between Saina and Sindhu and the best of the two, today, to win.
