These cricketers, have been among the most valuable players for their teams and, carried their teams to the wins these teams have recorded. While these cricketers have done the bulk of scoring, others contributed to the team totals for the bowlers to defend or vice-versa while chasing the totals. So, here, the list of Cricketers who have scored the most runs in IPL.
10. Gautam Gambhir
The Second Wall, as he is fondly called, has scored 4217 runs from 154 IPL matches at an average of 31.23 & strike rate of 123.88. During these matches, he stroked towards 36 fifties not to forget the 491 fours and 59 sixes. He has played for just two IPL Franchises, viz. Delhi Daredevils & Kolkata Knight Riders.
While his highest score is 93, 17 times he stayed not out during these 4000+ runs. These runs put former India Opener Gautam Gambhir into the top 10 of Cricketers with the most runs in IPL history.
9. Robin Uthappa
The Cricketer, Robin Venu Uthappa, has scored 4607 runs from 189 IPL matches at an average of 27.92 & strike rate of 129.99. During these matches, he stroked towards 24 fifties not to forget the 435 fours and 156 sixes. He has played for four IPL Franchises, viz. Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders & Rajasthan Royals.
While his highest score is 87, 17 times he stayed not out during these 4000+ runs. These runs put former India Opener Robin Uthappa into the top 10 of Cricketers with the most runs in IPL history.
8. MS Dhoni
The Finisher, as he is fondly called, has scored 4632 runs from 204 IPL matches at an average of 40.99 & strike rate of 136.75. During these matches, he stroked 23 fifties not to forget the 313 fours and 216 sixes. He has played for just two IPL Franchises, viz. Chennai Super Kings & Pune Supergiants.

7. Chris Gayle
The Universe Boss, as he likes to be called, has scored 4772 runs from 132 IPL matches at an average of 41.13 & strike rate of 150.11. During these matches, he stroked 6 hundreds & 31 fifties not to forget the 384 fours and 349 sixes. He has played for three IPL Franchises, viz. Kings XI Punjab, Royal Challengers Bangalore & Kolkata Knight Riders.
While his highest score is 175 not out, 15 times he stayed not out during these 4500+ runs. These runs put former West Indies Opener Chris Gayle into the top 10 of Cricketers with the most runs in IPL history.
6. AB de Villiers
Mr. 360 degree, as he is fondly called, has scored 4849 runs from 169 IPL matches at an average of 40.40 & strike rate of 151.91. During these matches, he stroked towards 3 hundreds & 38 fifties not to forget the 390 fours and 235 sixes. He has played for just two IPL Franchises, viz. Delhi Daredevils & Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Gabbar of Indian Cricket, as he is fondly called, has scored 5197 runs from 176 IPL matches at an average of 34.41 & strike rate of 126.87. During these matches, he stroked 41 fifties & 2 hundreds not to forget the 591 fours and 108 sixes. He has played for just three IPL Franchises, viz. Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad & Delhi Capitals.
While his highest score is 106 not out, 24 times he stayed not out during these 5000+ runs. These runs put India Opener Shikhar Dhawan into the top 10 of Cricketers with the most runs in IPL history.
4. Rohit Sharma
The Hitman, as he is fondly called, has scored 5230 runs from 200 IPL matches at an average of 31.31 & strike rate of 130.61. During these matches, he stroked 1 hundred & 39 fifties not to forget the 458 fours and 213 sixes. He has played for two IPL teams, viz. Mumbai Indians & Deccan Chargers.
While his highest score is 109 not out, 28 times he stayed not out during these 5000+ runs. These runs put India Opener Rohit Sharma into the top 10 of Cricketers with the most runs in IPL history.
3. David Warner
The Reverend, as he is fondly called, has scored 5254 runs from 142 IPL matches at an average of 42.71 & strike rate of 141.54. During these matches, he stroked 4 hundreds & 48 fifties not to forget the 510 fours and 195 sixes. He has played for played for two IPL Teams, viz. Sunrisers Hyderabad & Delhi Daredevils.

During these matches, Raina stroked 1 hundred & 38 fifties not to forget the 493 fours and 194 sixes. He has played for just two IPL Franchises, viz. Chennai Super Kings & Gujarat Lions (when CSK was banned).
While his highest score is 100 not out, 28 times he stayed not out during these 5000+ runs. These runs put former India middle-order player Suresh Raina into the top 10 of Cricketers with the most runs in IPL history.
1. Virat Kohli
The Run Machine, as he is fondly called, has scored 5878 runs from 192 IPL matches at an average of 38.16 & strike rate of 130.73. During these matches, Kohli stroked 5 hundreds & 39 fifties not to forget the 503 fours and 201 sixes. He has played for just one IPL Franchise, viz. Royal Challengers Bangalore.
While his highest score is 113, 26 times he stayed not out during these 5500+ runs. These runs put Indian Batting Mainstay Virat Kohli to the top of list of Cricketers with the most runs in IPL history.
