In a match between India and Argentina played today at the 6 Nations Invitational tournament, the two teams had a 3-3 draw.
India came from behind by two goals to level the match with brilliant goals from Ramandeep and Devindar Walmiki as Argentine defense cracks were explored by the two to save the match for India.
The match started with Argentina keeping the ball under their possession and just few seconds before the end of first quarter was Matias Paredes hitting the goal to make the first writing on the scorecard. Coming back from break India cracked the Argentine defense and just as Ramandeep was close to hitting the goal, there was a foul to allow India a penalty stroke.
Rupinder Pal Singh took this opportunity to draw the score level. Argentina though were not kept in control as they scored twice in few minutes to take the score to 3-1 in their favor with goals from Gonzalo Peillat and Lucas Villa.
With this score, the two teams went out for half time; coming back India started strongly but couldn’t make any inroads to the goal in the third quarter as even a penalty corner and drag flick by Rupinder Pal went off target.
And it was in the final quarter, where India had to display all their skills and efforts didn’t go in vain as Ramandeep followed by Devindar saved the match for India.
Argentina got another penalty corner in the dying moments of the match, but an agile Sreejesh was there to stop any further troubles. India will play Spain in their last game of the tour at 15:30 on July 03, 2016.
