Continuing with “If, for the first time, Bengal Warriors defeats U Mumba then it will be the biggest upset of all time.” And the match result added a new chapter in the history of Pro Kabaddi League. In all the four seasons of PKL, it is for the first time Bengal Warriors defeated U Mumba by 31-27. This match not only created history but also commotion in the league table. This match will turn the table for teams like Puneri Paltan, U Mumba and Bengaluru Bulls who are waiting to qualify for the semi-final spot.
In the raiding table U Mumba were leading but it was the tackles point made by Girish Ernak that made the huge change and created a new history of the PKL. This is for the first time that U Mumba has been defeated on their home league matches. Although U Mumba stand on 4th position of the point table but it will be fully charged Bengal Warriors that can create further upsets in upcoming matches of PKL-4.
Before this historical match, the first match of the day was played between Patna and Jaipur. The match started with good efforts by both the teams; some of the raids were definitely unbeatable. But as the game proceeded Patna lost its momentum when they were all-out by Jaipur in the first half. After that Jaipur did not look back and deny Patna of any chances to return into the match. Patna Pirates lost the match to Jaipur Pink Panthers by 28-21. The crowd along with promoter of Jaipur Pink Panthers, Mr. Abhishek Bachchan went into jubilation once the end of game whistle was blown. Jaipur becomes the first team to qualify for semi-finals of PKL-4.
