The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Indian Premier League Governing Council, today, announced the VIVO IPL 2021 schedule. The fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League will be held in India with Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata hosting the tournament. Things You Need to Know:
As you can make out from the IPL 2021 schedule, here are the things that change this season:
1. The 2021 edition of the cash rich league is not being played on the earlier format, i.e. home & away for the teams.
2. The season starts with match between defending Champions Mumbai Indians & Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
3. Narendra Modi Stadium, the newly constructed World’s Largest Cricket Stadium will have the honor of hosting the playoffs & the season finale.
4. All the matches of Indian Premier League 2021 edition will be played at neutral venues.
5. The Initial matches of IPL 2021 will be Spectator-less, a decision to allow spectators in matches may be taken later on.
6. Only 29 matches could happen as per the IPL 2021 schedule that’s shown above.

The edition, however, got stopped due to rise in Corona cases across the country and when it was back, it was at UAE after some restructuring of remaining matches. The revised IPL 2021 Schedule is shown in the table below:
