New Delhi: Last night the Indian squad for the 8th edition of Kabaddi World Cup is announced. The dream team with many superstars will be lead by 32 year old Anup Kumar who proved his worth as the captain for U Mumba in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). A two time Asian Games gold medalist is an experienced raider and famous as captain cool. He has the ability to turn the game at very last moment. The best part of this world cup is that all the Indian players are aware of the new rules as they were already playing for PKL for past four seasons.

- Vice Captain- Manjeet Chillar (all-rounder)
- Raiders- Ajay Thakur, Jasvir Singh, Pradeep Narwal, Rahul Chaudhari

Manjeet’s rise on the sport was loss for wrestling and gain for Kabaddi as he is the most consistent performer on the mat. At just 30 years of age, Manjeet is the lambi race ka ghoda for Kabaddi. While Kabaddi is known for speed and tact 41year old Dharamraj Cheralathan has defied all those who said age to be a matter in Kabaddi. The defender Cheralathan is the best defender in this team with more experience than anyone else.
The young guns Deepak Hooda, Mohit Chillar, Nitin Tomar, Pardeep Narwal, Rahul Chaudhari, Sandeep Narwal and Surjeet are ready to roar on the mat.
