Singh hit the weight at yesterday’s weigh-in ahead of tonight’s showdown at Macron Stadium, Premier Suite, Bolton. The Indian Boxer who’s gunning for his sixth professional victory promises to put on another explosive performance for his fans.
Soldra who’s aware of Singh’s professional dream run, seemed ready for the challenge.
Speaking about the bout, he said,”I am sure Vijender must be worried to face me tomorrow in the ring. But I will definitely do a horror show with him. I am fully prepared for this”.
The Super Middleweight Champion Boxer who’s from Poland, is leaving no stone unturned to train for this bout. On the other hand, the red-hot super middleweight ace is an icon in his homeland and his summer hero’s return will be a national homecoming event and he says that there is no way that rival Andrzej Soldra will upset that from happening.
Soldra comes into the fight against Vijender Singh with a record of 12 wins with 5 knockouts from 16 fights and has the edge in experience over Vijender Singh with 81 rounds under his belt and has no fear fighting his first fight abroad. Soldra also has a brilliant record in amateur career with 82 wins from 98 fights.
The polish boxer, Soldra has only lost thrice in an over five years professional career and will be looking to spoil the party for Singh at his first appearance in UK soil. Vijender Singh, who’ll be fighting an eight rounder bout for the first time, knows it is crucial that he wins at the Macron Stadium before his homecoming.
Speaking about the bout, Singh said, “This fight will be my first eight rounder so I am currently working on endurance and building my strength so that if fight goes long then i have the capability to compete against my opponent.”
Further he added, “My training is becoming tough day by day and my immediate focus is to win this fight and make it 6-0 of my pro career before playing in the homecoming title fight. Due to increase in the number of rounds my coaches have worked hard on my fitness and stamina.”
“I know this fight is very crucial for me and I need to continue my unbeaten record and it’s important that I put on a commanding performance against Soldra to keep on course for my title shot and my homecoming. I am really excited to finish off my sixth fight on a winning note and then compete for title in front of my home crowd,”concluded the Indian Boxing sensation.
Vijender’s opponent Andrzej Soldra feels that he will stop the winning streak of Indian boxer.
