10. 95 (David Miller, Rory Kleinveldt)
On June 19, 2013, South African Cricketers David Miller & Rory Kleinveldt came together at the fall of Chris Morris against England. The two went on to score 95 partnership runs at the Kennington Oval, London in this ICC Champions Trophy match. South Africa finished at 175.
While Miller scored a 130 ball 106 with 5 fours, Kleinveldt scored a 122-ball 139 with 16 fours & 2 sixes. The partnership is 10th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for ninth wicket. The partnership also happen to be the third highest partnership for ninth ODI wicket by any South African Pair. England chased down the target with more than 12 overs to spare.
9. 97 (Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza)
On April 16, 2008, Bangladesh Cricketers Shakib Al Hasan & Mashrafe Mortaza came together at the fall of Abdur Razzak against Pakistan. The two went on to score 97 partnership runs at the Multan Cricket Stadium with Bangladesh finishing at 210.
While Hasan scored a 120 ball 108 with 8 fours, Mortaza scored a 67-ball 38 with a four. The partnership is 9th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for ninth wicket. The partnership also happen to be the highest partnership for ninth wicket by any Bangladesh Pair. Pakistan chased down the target of 225 with 5.3 overs to spare.
8. 97* (Asela Gunaratne, Suranga Lakmal)
On February 10, 2017, Sri Lankan Cricketers Asela Gunaratne & Suranga Lakmal came together after fall of Jeffrey Vandersay against South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurion. The two, on chase of 385 of South Africa, went on to add an unbeaten 97 partnership runs. Sri Lanka couldn’t reach the target.

While Gunaratne scored an unbeaten 117 ball 114 with 14 fours & 2 sixes, Lakmal scored a 28-ball 20 with a four & a six. 7. 100 (Yusuf Pathan, Zaheer Khan)
On January 23, 2011, Indian Cricketers Yusuf Pathan & Zaheer Khan came together after fall of Piyush Chawla against South Africa. These two went on to score 100 partnership runs while on chase of 251 at SuperSport Park, Centurion. India couldn’t reach the target and were bowled out at 234.

On December 12, 2005, England Cricketers Liam Plunkett & Vikram Solanki came together after fall of Paul Collingwood against Pakistan. These two went on to score 100 partnership runs at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore with England getting bowled out for 230.

5. 101 (MS Dhoni, RP Singh)
On June 28, 2009, Indian Cricketers MS Dhoni & RP Singh came together at the fall of Praveen Kumar against West Indies. The two batsmen went on to score 101 partnership runs but India were bowled out for 188 at Sabina Park, Jamaica.
While Dhoni scored a 130 ball 95 with 6 fours & 2 sixes, Singh scored a 75-ball 23 with a four & a six. The partnership is 5th on top 10 of the highest ODI partnership for ninth wicket. On November 2, 2013, Australian pair of James Faulkner & Clint McKay came together against India while on chase of India’s 383 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The two added 115 partnership runs but couldn’t save Australia from defeat. Australia were bowled out for 326.

3. 118 (JP Yadav, Irfan Pathan)
On August 26, 2005, Indian Cricketers JP Yadav & Irfan Pathan came together against New Zealand and added 118 partnership runs. They were together after fall of Ajit Agarkar on a chase of New Zealand’s 216 at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo. India were bowled out for 164.

On November 3, 2010, Sri Lankan Cricketers Angelo Mathews & Lasith Malinga came together to script what would be the highest ODI partnership for ninth wicket. They were chasing a target of 240 against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The two had come together post the fall of Nuwan Kulasekara and held on to forge a partnership of 132 runs. Sri Lanka won the chase with 5.4 overs to spare.
