Serena Williams is one of the greatest Female Tennis player , winning 3 Carer Grand Slam in her career is no small feat. She manged to win French open 3 times (2002,2013,2015).She started her 2016 French open campaign by manged to reach 4th round where she will face 18th seed Elina Svitolina. French Open 1998
Stage: 4th Round
Serena started his debut French open promisingly as she reached 4th round but lost to A Sanchez Vicario 6-4 5-7 3-6, who then went on to become the Champion of that season.
French Open 1999
Stage: 3rd Round
Serena lost to MJ Fernadez 3-6 1-6 0-6 in her second outing at Rolland Garros. She only managed to reach the 3rd round.
French Open 2001
Stage: Quarter-final
After missing 2000’s French Open, Serena managed to reach Quarter–final for the first time in her career, but in QF she lost to that year’s champion Jennifer Capriati by 1-6 6-4 12-10.
French Open 2002
Stage: Champion
In her fifth attempt, Serena finally managed to win Rolland Garros for the first time beating her sister in a all- Williams final by 7-5 6-3. She also beat defending champion Jennifer Capriati in semi– final, taking revenge of previous year’s Quarter-Final lose.

For the first Serena came into French open as defending champion but lost to Justin Henin in semi-final who went on to win the title that year.
French Open 2004

Serena lost to Jennifer Capriati in quarter– final giving edge to Capriati in head to head battle in French open.

Serena lost to defending champion Justin Henin in Quarter Final , who went on to win the title for third straight title. Serena never managed to win against Henin in Rolland Garros.

5th seed Serena lost to 27th seed K Srebotnik in straight sets 4-6 4-6 .

Serena lost To Russian Svetlana Kuznestsova in quarter – Final by 7-6 7-5 7-5. Svetlana was the eventual champion of French open 2009.

Serena Lost to Australian Samantha Stosur in a hard fought quarter –Final match by 2-6 7-6 6-8. Stosur went on to play her first grand slam singles final that year.

For the first time in her career, Serena lost in the first round of French open. She lost to V Razzano by 6-4 6-7 3-6 .
French Open 2013
Stage: Champion
Serena won her second French open beating defending champion Maria Sharapova in straight sets 6-4 6-4.
French Open 2014
Stage: 2nd Round
G Muguruza upset Serena in 2nd round, beating her in straight sets 2-6 2-6 .

Stage: Champion
Serena won her third French open & 20th overall grand slam title at Rolland Garros 2015. She beat Safarova 6-3 7-6 6-3 in finals. This title win also give her 3rd career grand slam.
