10. Wasim Akram
Retired Pakistan legend & Sultan of Swing Wasim Akram is the seventh fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Akram achieved this milestone he was playing his 173rd match. The Left Arm Swing bowlers is among the best cricketers of international cricket.
He was playing against West Indies on January 27, 1982 at Sydney Cricket Ground in an ODI Tri-series. Akram would go on to take only one wicket in the match as West Indies would go on to win the match by 18 runs.
9. Lasith Malinga
Sri Lankan Right-Arm Fast Bowler Lasith Malinga is the sixth fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Malinga achieved this milestone he was playing his 163rd match. Malinga has been among the most successful death bowlers with good and regular yorkers.
He was playing against Pakistan on February 25, 2014 at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah during an Asia Cup match. Malinga would go on to take 5 wickets (5/52) in the match that Sri Lanka won by 12 runs.

8. Ajit Agarkar
Retired Indian Speedster Ajit Agarkar is the sixth fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Agarkar achieved this milestone he was playing his 163rd match. Agarkar has been among the fastest to some other milestones in wickets as well.
He was playing against West Indies on May 26, 2006 at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain during a bilateral ODI series match. Agarkar would take just one wicket in the match that India lost by 6 wickets.
7. Makhaya Ntini
Retired South African Medium Pacer Makhaya Ntini is the fifth fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Ntini achieved this milestone he was playing his 162nd match. The Proteas Cricketer would go on to play 173 ODI matches for his team to scalp 266 wickets at an average of 24.65 including 8 four-wicket hauls and 4 five wicket hauls from ODIs.
He was playing against Pakistan on October 26, 2007 at Multan Cricket Stadium during a bilateral ODI series match. Ntini took one wicket in the match that South Africa won by 7 wickets.
6. Glenn McGrath
Retired Australian Medium Pacer Glenn McGrath is the fourth fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When McGrath achieved this milestone he was playing his 161st match. One of the most consistent bowlers into the corridors of uncertainty (outside off stump line), he became once of the greatest medium pacers of all time.
He was playing against New Zealand on September 15, 2002 at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo during an ICC Champions Trophy match. McGrath would go on to take fifer (5/37) in the match as New Zealand would lose the match by 164 runs.

5. Shane Warne
Retired Australian Leg Spinner Shane Warne is the fourth fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Warne achieved this milestone he was playing his 161st match. The top spinner is among the greatest bowlers in the history of ODI & Test Cricket.
He was playing against India on October 18, 2017 at Indira Priyadarshini Stadium, Visakhapatnam in a bilateral ODI series match. Warne would go on to take three in the match as Australia would bowl India out for 245 to win the match by 93 runs.
4. Allan Donald
Retired South African Speedster Allan Donald is the third fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Donald achieved this milestone he was playing his 148th match. The White Lightning is considered one of the most successful South African Cricketers.
He was playing against West Indies on September 13, 2002 at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, Colombo during an ICC Champions Trophy match. Donald would go on to take two wickets in the match as South Africa would stop West Indies to 238/8 to win the match by 2 wickets.

3. Waqar Younis
Retired Pakistan Speedster Waqar Younis is the third fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Younis achieved this milestone he was playing his 148th match. The Pace Bowler has been a key member to the World Cup winning team of Pakistan and together with Wasim Akram he would make one of the most lethal opening bowling pairs.
He was playing against West Indies on January 14, 1997 at Sydney Cricket Ground in an ODI Triseries. Younis would go on to take three wickets in the match as Pakistan would bowl West Indies out for 181 only to win the match by 8 wickets.
2. Brett Lee
Retired Australian Speedster Brett Lee is the second fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Lee achieved this milestone he was playing his 139th match. The Pace Bowler had already got him into the all time list of fastest bowlers with some of his deliveries among the fastest ones.
He was playing against West Indies on October 18, 2006 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai in an ICC Champions Trophy match. Lee would go on to take just one wicket in the match that West Indies won by 10 runs.

Retired Pakistan Off- Spinner, Saqlain Mushtaq, is the fastest to 250 ODI wickets. When Saqlain achieved this milestone he was playing his 138th match. The spinner has to his credit the record for most ODI wickets in a calendar year.
He was playing against Sri Lanka on April 20, 2001 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in a Sharjah Cup match. Mushtaq would go on to take three wickets in the match but Sri Lanka would win the match by 77 runs.
