Shreevats Goswami
The Howrah born wicket-keeper batsman Shreevats Goswami made his Bengal Cricket team debut in 2008 and the same year he debuted in Indian Premier League’s inaugural edition for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Goswami would score his only IPL half-century in his debut season as he would go on to be adjudged the Emerging Player of the Year 2008 in IPL.
He would play a few matches every season till 2012 and then brought back in the scheme of thing as a reserve keeper by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2020. Goswami features among the Bengal Players in IPL 2021 as a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad team but with Jonny Bairstow & Wriddhiman Saha in the team, he has an upright challenge to break into the playing XI.
Wriddhiman Saha
The Siliguri born wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Prasanta Saha made his Bengal Cricket team debut in 2007 and the next year he debuted in Indian Premier League’s inaugural edition for Kolkata Knight Riders. Saha would score 159 runs in the season with 59 not out as his best. He would play a few matches every season for the teams and in 2018 he was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad. Saha features among the top Bengal Players in IPL 2021 as a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad team as he shares the wicket-keeper slot for the franchise with Jonny Bairstow.
Shahbaz Ahmed
Mewat, Haryana born Shahbaz Ahmed started playing for Bengal cricket team in 2018 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore during IPL 2020 auctions. The bowling all-rounder as he is called, picked 2 wickets from 2 matches in the season. Shahbaz Ahmed picked 4 wickets from initial 5 matches that he played in IPL 2021 before the season was put on hold due to sure in COVID numbers. He is, thus, one of the Bengal Players in IPL 2021 as he is trying to cement his place in the paying XI of the franchise.
Mohammed Shami
The Amroha born pace bowler Mohammed Shami Ahmed first played for Bengal Cricket team during 2010. Shami would go on to create a reputation as a reverse swing specialist. A genuine pace bowler with speed consistently above 140 kmh, Shami would be picked by KKR in IPL 2013. His wicket numbers would improve since IPL 2019 when he was playing for Kings XI Punjab. Shami has developed into an important member of pace attack of his franchise and national team as he represents top Bengal Players in IPL 2021. The pace bowler is playing for Punjab Kings which was earlier called King XI Punjab.
Akash Deep joined them in the phase 2 as a replacement of allrounder Washington Sundar.
