Today we discuss about the BBL Players in IPL 2021. The Big Bash League or BBL is the Cricket Australia run T20 league tournament played between 8 franchise teams. A popular cricket tournament as it would attract talents from different parts of the world to provide them with platform to perform.
BBL Players in IPL 2021
Marcus Stoinis
The Australian All-rounder became an irreplaceable member of the Delhi Capitals franchise the last season, a go to man for Rishabh Pant and a certain overseas player to feature in the playing XI. Marcus Peter Stoinis would score 396 runs for Melbourne Stars from 13 matches at an average of 33 and strike rate of 142, including two 50 plus scores. Melbourne Stars would finish 7th in the 8 team tournament and Stoinis would feature in the list of BBL Players in IPL 2021.
Glenn Maxwell
The explosive batsman and a part time off break bowler, that is Glenn James Maxwell, was picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore during IPL 2021 auctions and he thus features among the BBL Players in IPL 2021. Maxwell was also part of the Melbourne Stars franchise and he would gather 379 runs and 7 wickets from the BBL 2020-21 season. In Indian Premier League 2021 so far, Maxwell has been the perfect support to Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers as he has released the pressure of the awesome two.
Adam Zampa
The Leg Break bowler from New South Wales was another BBL Players in IPL 2021 who came from Melbourne Stars franchise. Zampa has been part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad, though he flew back along with other team colleague Kane Richardson amidst growing Corona cases in India. Adam Zampa picked 19 wickets for the franchise in BBL 2020-21 with his best 5/17 and struck these wickets at 14.2 with an average of 17.47 in the season.
Chris Lynn
The Attacking batsman from Queensland was part of Mumbai Indians and thus among the BBL Players in IPL 2021. Christopher Austin Lynn was part of Brisbane Heat in BBL 2020-21 and would score 458 runs and become the fourth highest run scorer from the tournament. Lynn would score these runs at an average of 35+ and strike rate on the higher side of 150. These runs would include 5 fifty plus scores. It is though uncertain whether he would be able to play regularly for the Wankhede Stadium based side in the Indian Premier League tournament as this is one of the most balanced side and getting into the playing XI isn’t a thing to bet upon.
Phase 2 in UAE, Changes in BBL Players in IPL 2021 :
Due to corona pandemic surge in India, the season was stopped post Match 29 and all the matches after match 29 were shifted to be held during September-October at UAE. With the changes in season schedules, there were withdrawals and new additions to the squads. Adam Zampa, Pat Cummins, Kane Richardson, Riley Meredith would be among the withdrawals while the five in the bottom of the table above would join others in the list of BBL Players in IPL 2021.
These were the Cricketers who represented Big Bash League 2020-21 in Indian Premier League 2021, the BBL Players in IPL 2021.
