Nadal is 5 years younger than Federer and now just 2 slams short. His performance since 2017 has been very consistent. If he can maintain his health and fitness there is no doubt that Nadal still has 4 to 5 years of tennis left in him.
In fact off late under Carlos Moya, Nadal seems to be making subtle changes in his game and shortening the points. The aim is to put less stress on his body and try to extend his career as much as possible.

Many experts like Mats Wilander and Manuel Santana have said that Nadal could well win 15 French Opens before he calls it a day. By that arithmetic the great Spaniard can reach 21 slams by winning only at Roland Garros.

Since 2017 when Nadal made his comeback he has played 10 Grand Slams. He has won 4 of them, finished as a finalist in 2 and reached the semifinals of the 2. His standing at Wimbledon has also improved considerably. He has broken the 1st week phobia at SW19 and also managed to reach semis there last year.
The Wimbledon semifinal between him and Djokovic could have gone anyway. Had Nadal come over that he might well have grabbed another title in London.
However with renewed confidence from Roland Garros he would be a serious contender for the other 2 slams this year at Wimbledon and US Open. He was also the finalist in this season’s 1st Grand Slam in Melbourne.
