At the end of the semifinal round Tammaro Cassandro of Italy, Vincent Hancock of the United States and Juan Jose Aramburu of Spain all finished with 14 target hits, which meant a three-way shoot-off was required to determine the two participants of the Bronze medal match. The ISSF Shooter of the year 2015 was the first to lose the competition and he finished 5th. After winning over other participants to reach the Bronze medal match, Tammaro Cassandro of Italy prevailed over Juan Jose Aramburu in a perfect outing as the first time semifinalist.
In the overall medal standings China finished at the top followed by Russia, Ukraine, Germany and Spain in the top five countries.
