After see-saw battles, the mat for Kabaddi World Cup semi-final is set for clashes between Thailand Vs India and Rep of Korea Vs Iran. The home team got the awakening call right there in first match against Rep of Korea. It was not easy for India and Thailand to make it to the semis but Korea and Iran were comfortable from the beginning. Only the upset by Poland gave Iran the setback otherwise both the team were right on the top.

Anup Kumar & Co. has risked many things to reach in final four alongside other nations. After the first disaster India impressed with wins 54-20 over Australia, 57-20 over Bangladesh, 74-20 over Argentina and 69-18 over England. Iran and Korea have been riding high with their all wins but for Thailand it is a do or die situation as for the first time they are in final four. It will not be wise to take Thai lads lightly as it is a hardship battle won to reach here.

In raiding department, Khomsan from Thailand is on top with 53 points which is the energy booster for Thailand in today’s match. Although Ajay Thakur in on 4th position with 41 points but a long way to catch Khomsan.  To the surprise none of the defender for playoffs team is in tournament top defender list indicating that team needs to pull their socks in defending department.  It is a close battle between Khomsan and Ajay as they have scored 3 Super 10s of the tournament.

Alongside, in the Indian defense department, Manjit Chillar will be facing tough challenge from Tin Phonchoo who did wonders in tackling players. Surprisingly no one from Iranian team has reached to Super 10s more than once putting a tough situation in raiding department. Only Cheol Gyu Shin from Rep of Korea completed two Super 10s in the tournament, in total there in no pre-calculation on who will make it to the final today.

There is so much on line today as no one is willing to give up. The 40 minutes each match is going to be interesting and full of action. All the starting seven is settled for teams and substitutions have done wonder for them. All just hope that today’s battle will be nail biting finish for all.
