In an match played at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, in front of their home crowd, Chennaiyin FC outplay FC Goa 2-0 to register their first victory of the ongoing edition of the Indian Super League (ISL 2016).
With this win, Chennaiyin FC summed four points from three matches and rose to middle of the pool standing whereas FC Goa stay at the bottom of the pool as the only team to haven’t registered even a single win out of the three matches it has played.
They extended their lead in the 26th minute when Chennaiyin FC captain Mehrajuddin Wadoo managed, though unintentionally, a wicked deflection off Goa defender Richard Dumasinto the goal post. Remaining match was a story of hits and misses as there were no further goals.
FC Goa have had chances however all through the match which they squandered.
